Serape Summer

great day to have a great day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey Hey Party People! Comin’ in hot for this post (literally, because I’m writing this in late AUGUST, which means it is HOT in AZ)…
Summertime in the borderlands brings out bright sunshine & vibrant colors, making serape blends perfect for the season!
The look I want to showcase in this post is a new favorite, namely because I tested it out at the Arizona Cattle Grower’s Annual Summer Meetings…
& it passed with flying COLORS! *pun intended*
So… Without further ado… I lovingly present “Summer Serape!”
Outfit Details: Serape Blazer by Silverado, White Dress with Blue Embroidered Trim Details from Loft (purchased this summer but currently out of stock, linked similar options from them!), GORGEOUS Clutch Purse by Rail Three Ranch & Fringe Booties by CATO (scroll for more info on these two items below!)
Besides the love of color & layering pieces unique to southwestern/borderlands culture, we know how much passion I have for sharing the stories of unique artisans & makers who do amazing work & create beautiful pieces!
Today’s look brings in one of the COOLEST clutch purses in my collection (or should I say hottest? Hmm..)
Let’s just say the gals at Rail Three Ranch did not disappoint when it came to their design features in this one!
The softest leather fringe (& TONS of it!), the perfect mix of colors & patterns (can we talk about the blue tones in the serape against that embossed red leather?!), & of course the sweet ranchy style of their signature rosettes!
I picked up this stunner from their booth at NFR last year as part of my annual haul of goodies from them & I am so glad I did! The perfect statement piece!!
(Click here for our “Grit & Glam Inspired: Rail Three Ranch” post… Update to that coming soon as these folks are ROCKIN it & have much more to share!)
Embroidery on my dress, serape on that stunner blazer AND that rad clutch… what is the last piece of the puzzle? The shoes of course! These cute heels from CATO Fashions a summer ago are perfect for adding spicy southwestern vibes to an outfit!
**And, though these are sold out, CATO has other options that are perfectly on trend & also classic enough to CARRY through the seasons! Check em out here…
What fun it is to spice up a look with serape & fringe, am I right?!
Also… Apologies for the dang white legs! This AZ girl just can’t get them to be tan! Oh well, let’s keep the focus on the fashion & wear shades in the sunshine! Haha!
