Hey y’all! I have been a busy busy bee lately, but am excited to be getting back in the swing of posting on social media and blogging! With that being said… Here’s a fun post in a series I’m doing called, “Grit & Glam Inspired.” For more of a backstory on why I am INSPIRED by these featured businesses, check out my post “Grit, Glam & Grace: The Modern Cowgirl.”
And now the intro I think is an integral part of every post in this special series…
I love that there are SO many strong, passionate women out there in the world today! These women need to be able to live and breathe the western life they love with grit and glam. I thought it would be fun to feature some of my favorite things and favorite small businesses that everyone should check out, inspired by a zest for living life to the fullest and looking good while doing it!!
Here’s a bit about the Mad Cow Company, owner Amy Smith!
“Handcrafted for the individual who wants to stand out from the herd”
Tell us a little bit about y’all…
I started the business in 2006 because I wanted to stay home with my kids. I have always set out to create really rustic handcrafted goods. I am a big fan of peeling paint, rust, and the sun baked color that the desert puts on things. I try to create jewelry that has that feel.
What is on the horizon?
I never know for sure. We are not going to the NFR this year for the first time in 10 years, so maybe we will have some time to create some fun one of a kind pieces.

The Mad Cow Company does everything from jewelry (like necklaces, earrings, pendants, rings, bracelets, even hair accessories) to bits and spurs, flasks, pocket knives, booze bangles, work on Yeti drink containers, copper mule mugs, corkscrews, bottle openers, special buckles, money clips, and so much more!!! Gorgeous work, as I’m sure y’all have noticed by now, done by a wonderful woman in good ole Arizona!
Thanks so much to Amy for talking to me about her business, y’all really need to check ’em out!!
AND here’s how to keep up with it all on social media!!!
